Well, I don't think there's much to say here. This piece speaks for itself on so many levels. This was going to be thrown away until we decided to save it and give it a new life. The tree this came off of is hundreds of years old, this is a slice of the branch where it was attached to the log. The sawyer needed to slice it down to fit the log in the lumber mill so we grabbed it up. If you know your wood species, you would know this type of ironwood isn't common, it's also a beast. This board isn't a light weight either. You will definitely enjoy dinner parties with this guy. The board measures 16 1/4" wide and 14 1/4" deep at it's deepest.
